EMU offers dormitory and food discount to it's students (updated)

The Rectorate of the Eastern Mediterranean University has offered discount prices on food, dorms and fixed it's foreign exchange rates for it's students.

The new agreement was announced on Wednesday by the rectorate of the university after a meeting with the university's dormitory management. 

In the new agreement, Turkish students have been offered a 10% discount on dormitory fees, 10 percent discount on meal in all restaurants in the dorm and foreign exchange rates fixed at 5 Turkish Lira to the US Dollar.

Also, all Iranian students in the university were given 20 percent discount on school fees and 25 percent reduction on meal package from TableDhote Restaurant.

Report from the university management to Olomoinfo Blog adds that dormitory and food assistance is open for all students irrespective of their nationality.

According to the university authority, all students of the university get 25% of their meal plan paid by the university if they purchase a meal plan in EMU TableDhote Restaurant.

The university also agreed that students living in the university dormitories can pay their rents in TL with a discount which will cover for nine student dormitories.

Private dormitories are also offering discounts to the students.

The university authority said that additional discounts for Iranian students on tuition based on some negotiation with Iranian authorities due to their exceptional currency problem was being discussed adding that the measures taken due to the cost of life in the TRNC is for all students.
