Cyprus Weather Report: Extreme temperatures expected on Friday

The Met service has issued a yellow warning for extreme temperatures on Friday.

According to the Met service report, the extreme temperatures which began on Thursday morning will be effective until 5pm on Friday.

The warning said minimum temperatures were expected to be 27C  over the southern coastal areas while inland areas could see maximum temperatures of 40C .

Temperatures in the higher areas were expected to hover at around 32C.
