16-year old stabs friend with a knife in Gönyeli

Two 16-year old boys were engaged in a fight in Gönyeli, with one of them seriously injured after he was stabbed with a knife.

The incident between the two teenagers happened at Atatürk Caddesi in Gönyeli, on Wednesday night.

According to police report, the two boys were having a heated argument in the middle of the street when one of the boys stabbed the other with a knife in hisarm pit and right rib.

The boy was rushed to the Lefkosia Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and was later discharged after treatment.

The other boy was arrested and taken to a Lefkosa court on charges of "bruising" and "carrying of illegal weapon".
