Woman arrested in Girne for stealing friend's properties while she was away

A woman has been arrested and taken to court for stealing her friends properties while she was away.

According to report by Turkish Cypriot newspaper, Havadis, the suspect identified as Sara Olgunyürek, who has been living in her friend's apartment in Girne after she traveled abroad for three years reportedly stole everything in the house.

The owner of the apartment, N.H.K who returned to the country on June 26th complained to the police that she could not find anything at home.

The owner of the house said her girlfriend, entered the house without permission and stolen a large number of special items as well as jewelries worth 120 thousand TL.

Olgunyürek, was arrested following the complain and was taken to a Girne court on Sunday where she was ordered to remain in police custody for two days.
