Two Pakistan national arrested at the Girne port for trying to exit the TRNC illegally

Two Pakistan national were arrested when trying to exit the TRNC illegally through the Girne port.

The two men identified as Imran Khan and İkram Ullah from Pakistan were arrested on July 2 at the 'Beşparmak' company ship at the Girne port after a search carried out by the TRNC immigration on the ship following a tip off.

Police said they were trying to leave the country to Turkey without carrying out immigration procedures.

One of the accused  Imran Knan has reportedly being living in the TRNC as an illegal resident.

They confessed that they were helped by an unidentified person who wanted to helped them settle in Turkey.

They were taken to a Girne court on Thursday for charges of "illegal exit from the TRNC" where they were ordered to remain in police custody for 2 days.
