Russia 2018 - The shock, the excitement and the argument

The World Cup has always come with certain shock in the past, but Russia 2018 has come with an overdose of the shock syrup, the World Cup fever is ever uncured, the excitement it brings,the unity between fans and supporters exceed any other sports. 

I have seen some shock and read others, but Russia 2018 brought too many to be ignored. The round of 16 didn't come with much shock like the group stage, but Japan going two goals up against a star studded Belgium team was my highlight of the round of 16, Russia defeating Spain with the latter having over a thousand completed passes didn't shock me because I knew Spain was becoming boring to watch, and had no real attacking intent, even with a potent striker in Diego Costa whom they didn't play to his strength.

In 2002 Senegal shocked the world defeating the defending champion in France, in Rio 2014 it was the massacre of the Brazilian team by eventual winners Germany. But having to see a World Cup quarter final without Germany, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, leaves one wanting more action.
