Real consider move for Hugo Lloris
Real Madrid are weighing up their options to replace Keylor Navas in goal. Navas is expected to leave the club, and Real have long expected to sign David de Gea, though he is now set to stay at Manchester United. They are considering a £60m move for 31-year-old Lloris at Tottenham Hotspur if they can’t prise Thibaut Courtois away from Chelsea, and the Frenchman is open to the move. 

Manchester United could move for Rebic

Manchester United are struggling to sign a forward for the right side of attack. Jose Mourinho wants new options beyond Jesse Lingard and his existing squad members. United are weighing up Eintracht Frankfurt’s Croatian international Ante Rebic, but Bayern Munich may also move for the 24-year-old. Chelsea’s Willian and Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale are too close to 30 to be considered long term options, but may still be bought. 

Usmanov prepared to sell Arsenal stake

Alisher Usmanov, the minority owner of Arsenal, is giving up on buying the rest of the company from Stan Kroenke. The two figures own the club between them, and Kroenke has been unwilling to cede any of his shares to the Uzbek businessman. That has left Usmanov accepting that he is not going to gain control of the club and is now prepared to sell his shares. 

Klopp to retain Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge had been expected to leave Liverpool after he spent some of last season on loan to West Bromwich Albion, but it seems Jurgen Klopp might keep him on for the coming games. Sturridge, 28, has one year left on his current deal but has impressed in Liverpool’s friendlies while playing in a deeper role for the club.
