Man Utd to enter Ronaldo race
The Sun have a back-page story that
Manchester United are preparing to enter the race for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 33-year-old forward has been linked with a move to Juventus
but this report says that United are debating entering the chase as
they feel the deal with the Italian champions is far from done.
West Ham close in on Wilshere
The Guardian reports that West Ham are closing in on former Arsenal
midfielder Jack Wilshere. The 26-year-old has had a medical and is set
to sign a three-year contract after leaving Arsenal. He will become the
club's fourth signing of the summer after Lukasz Fabianski, Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop.
Liverpool yet to move for Shaqiri
The Mirror reports that Liverpool have an interest in Stoke winger Xherdan Shaqiri
but they have yet to make a move for the Swiss international. Shaqiri
is keen to remain in the Premier League following Stoke's relegation and
Liverpool are one of the clubs interested.
Wolves close to Zinchenko deal
And finally the Mirror reports that newly promoted
Wolves are closing in on a club-record deal of £16 million to sign
Oleksandr Zinchenko from Premier League champions Manchester City. Zinchenko is on the fringes at City and can play at left-back or midfield.
