Nigerian athlete Ese Brume to compete at the Diamond League for EMU
Nigerian athlete Ese Brume who currently play her professional sporting
career at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will compete at the Diamond League.
Despite being 21 years old, Ese Brume, who is seen as one of the biggest gold medalist of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, continues to make preparations with Hasan Maydon and Yaya Kayode, coaches of EMU Sports Affairs Directorate.
Brume came fifth in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio with a jump of 6.81 m. She is also the 2015 African Long Jump Champion and the 2014 Commonwealth Games Champion.
She received the invitation by letter from Jacky Delapierre, CEO of the competition organization company Athletissima, to compete in the Diamond League, the most prestigious athletic event after the Olympic Games.
On Thursday, July 5, the organizational company will also received accommodation, health and travel expenses for Ese Brume, who invited her to attend the competition in Lausanne, Switzerland.
As is known, Ese Brume won the first place in Jamaica this year with a 17 centimeter difference to US athlete Shakeelah Saunders, who holds the title of the last Olympic and World Champion.
