Mother arrest son for stealing her phone and TV in Famagusta
A Turkish Cypriot mother has arrested her son who lives with her for stealing her mobile phone and their home television.
According to report by Turkish Cypriot daily, Yeniduzen, the accused Unal Mehmetoğlu, 25, who lives with his mother in Famagusta was arrested on the grounds that he stole her mobile phone and a TV worth 2,400TL belonging to her.
He allegedly stole the cell phone on July 2, and television on 4 July.
He was arrested on the complain of his mother and and was taken to a court in Iskele on Thursday on charges of "stealing."
The suspect told the court that he was ready to prove to the court that the items were not his mother's but his.
He was sent to prison by the court for a period not exceeding 1 month.
