Man who shot and killed his wife with a hunting riffle in north Cyprus last week remain in detention for another four days as investigation continues into the murder.

Ibrahim Erhalk, 61 shut and killed his 52-year-old wife, Nigar Tevfik Erhalkred with a hunting rifle at their home in Doganci on Friday July 27 following an argument.

He was arrested on the day of the incident and taken to a court in Lefke where he was given a three day detention order.

He was brought to court again on Monday after the expiration of the three day detention period and was ordered again to remain in detention for another four days to allow for investigation into the incident.

The couple who had lived in London for a long time were in north Cyprus for vacation, as they always do every year.

They arrived the island on July, 11 with their two children, a boy and a girl.

Ibrahim Erhalk, who has several restaurants in England, is a well to do business man according to report.
