Man sexually assault ex-girlfriend in Lefkosa

A 29-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend during a heated argument in her apartment in Lefkosa.

The accused, M., 29 was arrested by the police on Wednesday morning following a complaint by the ex-girlfriend.

He is reported to have have allegedly gone to his ex-girlfriend's house where he committed the crime. 

According to police report, the accused went to his girl friend's house at Erdal Apart, Diner street in Lefkosa on Wednesday July 11 with the intention of talking to her. 

They started an argument with the accused forcefully using his fingers to sexually abuse the 36-year-old victim.

He was taken to a court in Lefkosa on charges of "sexual assault" where he was ordered to remain in detention for two days pending investigation.
