Man cut wife's throat with a knife in Lefke
A 54-year-old Turkish Cypriot man is currently cooling his heels in police net for attempting to kill his wife by cutting her with a knife on Monday morning in Lefke, north Cyprus.
The incident happened at about 9:45am on Monday morning when the man identified only as M.R and his wife Rumaniiat Riiematullaeva got engaged in a heated argument in their home in Lefke.
According to police report, the man out of anger attacked his wife, Rumaniiat Riiematullaeva with the knife in his possession.
Rumaniiat was seriously injured with a cut on her nose and throat and was taken to the Cengiz Topel Hospital in Lefke and then to the Dr.Burhan Nalbantoğlu state hospital in Lefkosa.
Her husband was arrested.
