Man broke into apartment in Lefkosa only to steal nut, chips and coins
A man described as a serial thief who allegedly broke into an apartment in Lefkosa has been accused of stealing $50, chips and nuts. Petty thief?
The accused, Abdulhamit Günsun, who broke into an apartment in Lefkosa on July 22, and reportedly stole $50, chips and nuts was arrested on Saturday.
Police said the suspect opened the kitchen door of the apartment about 2:00am on July 22 and stole two packs of chips, two packets of dried nuts and about 50 TL coins in the money box.
The suspect who was linked to other theft cases in the area was taken to a court in Lefkosa where he confessed to the crime and other crimes.
He also confessed to stealing a mobile phone from a jeep belonging to one Z. Ş. on July 23. The phone was taken as an exhibit in court.
He was ordered to remain in police custody for three days for investigation purposes.
