Major routes in Lefkosa and Famagusta to be closed to traffic on Saturday

The road between the Near East Crossroads and the Cyprus Newspaper will be closed to traffic on Saturday due to July 20 action rehearsal and ceremony program.

According to police press release, the road will be closed from 8:00am on Saturday morning until the end of the ceremony rehearsal.  

Due to the July 20 rehearsal, Fazil Polat Pasha Boulevard in Famagusta will also be closed to traffic flow from 4:30pm until the end of the rehearsal at about 6:30pm.

According to police statement, alternate routes for drivers at the dates and times stated for Lefkosa will be as follows:

-For the drivers who want to go to the New Organized Industrial Zone, traffic flow will be controlled from the intersection of the road in front of the Altinbas Petrol station and the prison.  

-The drivers who come from Gazimağusa direction and want to go to the Near East University Hospital will be able to reach the Near East Boulevard by following the secondary road route from Altınbas Petrol Station Lights to the Industrial Zone and from there to the north of Atatürk Sports Hall. 

- Drivers coming from Famagusta direction and going into Lefkosa city; should turn left from the Hamitköy Circle, turn left from Mimar Mehmet Vahip Street and Şht Ismail Beyoğlu Street or Tofaş Lights to Şht Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street.

-Drive from Famagusta direction to Güzelyurt direction; From Lefkosa Mehmet Akif Caddesi you can reach Metehan - Alayköy Circle road or Dr. Burhan Nalbanoglu Street (State Hospital) route, using the Gönyeli Circle, from the direction of Güzelyurt and going to the direction of Lefkosa Alayköy -Metehan Circle Road or Gönyeli Circle and Dr.. Burhan Nalbanoglu Street (State Hospital) route.
