Major roads in North Cyprus to be closed to traffic on Thursday and Friday

Several roads in Lefkosa and in other regions will be closed to traffic on Friday, July, 20 due to events marking the 44th anniversary of the July 20th Peace Operation by Turkey in North Cyprus. 

Police in a report on Wednesday made announcements about routes to be closed and alternative routes that can be accessed on the said day.
 
To prevent traffic congestion on the specified dates and times, drivers are advised not to park in specified roads specified, and are asked to obey traffic signs and markers.

According to the police, the road between Gönyeli Çemberi and Alpet-Altınbaş Petrol Station will be closed to traffic from 07:00am on Friday until the end of the ceremony.

Controlled traffic flow from the junction of the Alpet-Altinbas Petrol Station and the Central Prison will be provided for the drivers who want to go to the New Organize Industrial Zone.
 
The drivers who come from Famagusta direction and want to go to Near East University (YDU) or YDU Hospital will be able to reach the Near East Boulevard via Alpet-Altinbas Petrol Station lights Industrial District and then to the north of Atatürk Sports Hall. 
 
The drivers who come from the direction of Gönyeli Çemberi and want to go to the YDU or YDU Hospital will be able to use the route by Hidden Garden - TED College and the Near East Boulevard. 

For those coming from the Famagusta direction, turn left from the Hamitköy circle to Lefkosa, turn left from Mimar Mehmet Vahip Street, Şehit İsmail Beyoglu Street or Tofaş Street to Martyr Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street or Alpet-Altınbas Oil Lights to Kemal Aksay Caddesi can be used.
 
Drivers who will come from Famagusta direction to Güzelyurt direction, from Citroen crossing on Lefkosa Mehmet Akif Caddesi or Kermiya - Alayköy Circle road or Dr. Burhan Nalbanoglu Street (State Hospital) can reach the circle of Gönyeli. 
 
Driving from the direction of Güzelyurt to the direction of Nicosia Alayköy -Kermiya Çevre yolu or Gönyeli Çemberi and Dr. Burhan Nalbanoglu Street (State Hospital) will be able to follow the route. 
 
Driving from Girne to Nicosia direction by using the road to Bogazkoy-Dikmen, from the junction of Altınbaş lights in Nicosia Organized Industrial Zone. Fazıl Küçük Bulvarın or Girne-Lefkoşa highway drivers using the Gönyeli cycle. Burhan will use Nalbantoğlu Avenue (State Hospital) route.

In Magusa, the Fazil Polat Paşa Boulevard will be closed from 4:00pm on Thursday due to rehearsal for July 20 ceremony.
