Fire destroys 25 acres of land in Gönyeli

There was fire outbreak at the eastern part of Gönyeli dam, at 6:00 pm, on Tuesday.

The fire which broke out in the creek bed became intense due to the fact that it was not detected on time. 

The fire was put under control following the intervention of of the police, forest squadrons and fire fighters. Cooling effort by the team took long into the night

The fire destroyed the reed and maquis area of the dam including dry herbs in an area of ​​about 25 acres.
