Driver arrested for offering police bribe in Güzelyurt

Police in Güzelyurt have arrested a driver for offering cash bribe to a police officer during a road traffic search.

According to police report, a policewoman on duty at the Güzelyurt road at about 7:30 pm on Thursday stopped a vehicle driver for traffic offenses.

The driver for fear of being penalized, offered a bribe of 100 US dollars to the police officer.

The rest is history..... he was arrested and put in jail.
