Ceremonies will be held across North Cyprus to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the July 20th Peace Operation

The 44th anniversary of the July 20th Peace Operation by Turkey in North Cyprus will be celebrated with ceremonies and events in Lefkosa and all provinces on Friday July 20.

Celebration and ceremonies will be held in Gazimağusa, Girne, Güzelyurt, Iskele and Lefke, and in the capital Lefkosa on Friday, July 20 to mark the Peace and Freedom Day.

Events to mark the day will begin on Thursday July, 19 with a ceremony at Fazıl Küçük Monument scheduled to start at 6:30pm. At the ceremony, memorial wreaths will be laid, the monument book will be signed, followed by the signing to National Anthem.

The ceremony at the Rauf Raif Denktas Monument will be held at the TMT monument due to the construction of the monument and will start at 7:00pm. After the presentation of the wreaths, the National Anthem will be read and the special monument book will be signed.

Friday July, 20 ceremony will start at 8:30am in front of the Lefkoşa Atatürk Monument. Several events and ceremonies will follow in Lefkosa and other regions.
