Cameroonian arrested at Ercan with fake French passport

A Cameroon national has been arrested with a fake French passport on his arrival at the Ercan airport in north Cyprus after he was sent back from Turkey.

The suspect identified as Dany Hermana Fazel was arrested at Ercan airport on Saturday July 7 following his arrival from Turkey where Turkish police detected he was using a fake French passport issued on someone else behalf.

According to police report, the suspect was arrested by the Turkish immigration on Friday July 6 and was sent to the TRNC on the ground that the passport was falsified.

He was taken to court and ordered to remain in police custody for three days on investigative purpose.
