Bulgarian arrested in Lefkosa border-crossing with south Cyprus with fake Bulgarian passport
A Bulgarian national was arrested on Thursday at the Lokmacı border-crossing between south and north Cyprus with a fake Bulgarian passport.
According to report, the man was caught red-handed while trying to enter Southern Cyprus with a fake Bulgarian passport, at the crossing point between south and north Lefkosa/Nicosia on Wednesday July 4th.
Police in the Lefkosa Forensic Branch who confirmed that the passport is fake said the accused a citizen of Turkey voluntarily testified that he had obtained the passport for 3 thousand 500 Euros.
Police said the passport was carrying someone's else name on it.
The court ordered the suspect to be sent to prison for two months.
