19 dead, 25 missing as migrant boat capsizes off northern Cyprus (video)

19 migrants were found dead at sea on Wednesday night after a boat carrying 150 people capsized off the coast of north Cyprus, some 30 kilometers off Yenierenköy, with 25 others still missing.

According to report, 105 people have been rescued so far by coast guards.

Many of the survivors were taken to Turkey’s southern city of Mersin, while some were taken to Girne, North Cyprus.

Authorities don’t know where the vessel has set sail from or where it was heading.

The capsizing occurred in the Mediterranean sea around 16 miles north off the far north tip of Cyprus.
