Woman arrested in Nicosia for stealing food from her neighbours for her 5 year old son

A 29 year old mother has been arrested for stealing food from her neighbours in order to feed her 5 year old son in Nicosia, south Cyprus.  

According to report, her neighbours reported the incident to the police who arrested her.

According to reports the mother broke into a neighbours house through the window and stole food from her neighbours in order to feed herself and her 5 year old son, the mother who is currently unemployed and in desperate need for help looked like she didn’t have any choice but to steal some ham and macaroni from her fellow neighbours.

The neighbours immediately reported the incident to the police who eventually arrested the mother and was taken to the police station.

According to reports the mother was left without any money due to the fact that the government stopped providing her with the unemployment benefit and was in desperate need to provide for her and her family.

Both the mother and the son will be taken into care and the stolen goods will be returned to their owner.
