Turkish Lira continues it's downward trend while inflation on the rise

The Turkish Lira (TL) continues to depreciate against the US Dollar, the British Pound and the Euro.

The loss of the TL against the Dollar, Pound and the Euro in the past week alone has increased worries among citizens.

A dollar which was equivalent to TL 4.5024 a week ago rose to 4.6568 TL as of Monday. Again, a pound which sold for £ 6.0270 a week ago, rose to £ 6.2218 on Monday whit the Euros not left out too after it rose to 5.4720 TL on Monday from 5.3052 TL, a week ago.

The TL's depreciation against the dollar, pound sterling and the euro, has affected bank borrowers, school installments, house rent payments and many more.

Moreover, the price of many products and services in the country has also increased due to the supply of electricity from fuel and the price increase in fuel due to the depreciation of TL.
