Student arrested while trying to sell a stolen phone in Lefkosa

A university student has been arrested for trying to sell a stolen phone in Lefkosa.

The student identified as Abdulkadir Acem was arrested in Lefkosa on Monday June, 4 while trying to sell the phone.

According to police report, he reportedly stole the I Phone s6 brand mobile phone worth 1600TL at Küçük Kaymaklı region at the weekend.

The phone was forgotten by the owner in an apartment pavement.

He was taken to a Lefkosa court on Tuesday where he confessed to the crime.

The court ordered the suspect to deposit a cash bond of 2 thousand TL and was banned from leaving the country while the case continues.
