Private schools in North Cyprus adjust fees due to plunge in TL
Since the Turkish Lira began it's gradual and steady decline against major foreign curriences, prices of services and several commondities has seen a huge rise impacting so much on the ordinary citizens in North Cyprus.
To help alleviate the burden of inflation, most of the private schools in North Cyprus have adjusted their fees in a government-led measure to ease the burden on parents due to the plummeting value of the Turkish lira against foreign currency.
Near East College, Doğa Schools, TED College, British Culture College and Final Schools are converting their fees into Turkish lira, according to an announcement by the National Education and Culture Ministry, while Levent College, Girne American College and Necat British College have started fixing the exchange rates by which they convert fees into TL.
Other private schools that charge in lira said they would continue to do so.
