Paper Round: Harry Kane wants to be best in world, Ruben Loftus-Cheek to replace Dele Alli

It's Wednesday's Paper Round.... Harry Kane sets his sights on being the best in the world, Dele Alli looks like he'll miss England's next game and Mauricio Pochettino is a closet England fan.

Kane: 'I want to be up there with Ronaldo and Messi'
Harry Kane has set his sights high. Fresh from his brace against Tunisia on Monday night, the England striker says he wants to be one of the best players in the world. The Guardian quotes him as saying: "I had to prove people wrong throughout my career and I love proving to myself I can do it,” said Kane. "Ronaldo is the best in the world, up there with Messi, but the challenge is there to be with them. To be the best player in the world you have to aim high – you can’t aim low – so just put no limits on yourself."
"He is rooting for me. He has a lot of lads here. He is not just my boss, he’s my mate. He’s the manager but he’s a friend as well. He wants me and the whole team to do well.”

Loftus-Cheek set to replace Alli
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to replace Dele Alli against Panama on Sunday, according to the Guardian. The midfielder, who impressed while on loan from Chelsea at Crystal Palace last season, came on for the last 10 minutes against Tunisia and won the corner from which Kane scored the winner. Alli has had a scan on his thigh strain, which he picked up just before half-time on Monday, and will not be risked. With Gareth Southgate not wanting to re-jig the side too much, it also means that Raheem Sterling could retain his place alongside Kane, with Marcus Rashford to start on the bench.

Blatter is back
Disgraced former FIFA president Sepp Blatter arrived in Moscow on Tuesday, saying he was there to "enjoy the World Cup". The Swiss was in charge when Russia was awarded the tournament in 2010 but he reign later ended in a corruption scandal involving FIFA. He has been invited to the tournament as a guest of Vladimir Putin, despite serving a six-year ban from football. The 82-year-old is reportedly set to attend Wednesday's match between Portugal and Morocco at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
