Man found with drugs in Lefkosa
The North Cyprus police has arrested a man in Lefkosa for drugs following a search on his car.
According to police report, the suspect identified as Mohammad Imran was arrested with drugs in Lefkosa on Saturday after a search was carried out on a car used by him during a routine traffic search by the North Cyprus Crimes and Prevention team.
The suspect was taken to court on Sunday on charges of drug possession.
Police told the court that the suspect was found with a substance believed to be a synthetic cannabiod type drug about half a gram.
Police said the suspect gave voluntary testimony during interrogation and was ordered by the court to remain in police custody for three days as investigation continues on the matter.
