Late Zim student slept outside because no one opened the door for him
Zimbabwe student who fell from the roof of a building in Lefkosa had slept outside of the apartment when his friends did not open the door at night.
Christopher Tinotenda Chidzva, a 22-year old Zimbabwe student reportedly fell from the roof of a building in Kundak Street, Lefkosa where he was a guest on Wednesday night.
He lost his life following the fall and his body was discovered at about 6:00am on Thursday morning.
His body was taken to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Investigations by police revealed that the deceased stayed as a guest in the apartment for a few months.
According to claims by his friends who spoke to the police, he had come to the apartment late at night, but when no one opened the door he decided to sleep outside.
According to information gathered by the police, he may probably have woken up, losing his balance on the torn piece of carpet on the roof floor and then falling down on the vehicle packed on the ground of the two-story building.
His friends were actually informed about the incident by the police.
