Inflation goes up in North Cyprus

The Turkish Republic of North Cyprus recorded an inflation rate of 3.65% for the month of May.
 
According to the latest report issued by the TRNC State Planning Organisation.SPO, an increase has been recorded in the prices of all major goods and services on the Consumer Price Index.

Inflation went up by 3.65% in comparison to the previous month and 16.78% compared to the same period last year.

According to the latest figures released by the State Planning Organisation, prices at restaurants and hotel accommodation went up by 8.81%, leisure and culture 6.02%, utilities such as housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 5.78% and furniture, household appliances and services by 4.23%.
