Greek Cypriot traders uncomfortable with tourists coming to the TRNC
It has been reported that Greek Cypriot traders are not happy and uncomfortable with tourists coming into North Cyprus from the south on day trips.
According to the report by the Fileleftheros newspaper, a Greek Cypriot daily, this year's tourist tours to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have been intensified, as is the case every year, and that medium-sized shopkeepers in touristic areas are uncomfortable with this situation.
The newspaper said that because of the depreciation of the Turkish Lira, the TRNC has become cheaper by 30-35 percent than the Southern Cyprus for tourists; and the ones who knew this opportunity, organized such as Girne, Famagusta and Apostolos Andreas.
The newspaper emphasized that some tourism agencies advertise that the TRNC is much cheaper than Cyprus's famous tourist districts and cities in terms of food, beverage and shopping, and also included photographs of some brochures distributed on this issue.
