Girl reportedly resurrects 2 years after she was buried

A girl from Zambia who reportedly died two years ago walked back to her Mother’s home last weekend to the astonishment of the community.  

The girl identified as Winnie Lufunja of Masala compound in Ndola died two years ago after an illness.

This came to light when she was taken to the Ndola Police station where a huge crowd gathered to witness the event.

The parents to the girl explained that she died two years ago after an illness and was buried.
 

It was a busy day on Monday as the remains of Winnie Lufunja, now 19, who is believed to have died on November 12, 2016, were exhumed to ascertain whether she was indeed the one.  

Bones and hair were confirmed as human remains after exhuming the burial site of Winnie at Mitengo cemetery at around 17:50 hours.  

Winnie was buried three days after her demise.  

The startling news captured the interest of people in the neighbourhood. The parents have also submitted the death certificate and birth certificate to the police to help establish the truth.  

The parents and the “resurrected” Winnie are currently at the Police station, awaiting a DNA test to confirm if she truly returned from the dead.

They narrated that the body even went through a church service and body viewing before it was buried at Mitengo cemetery.
