Bride runs away with another man 16 days after lavish wedding

A newlywed groom was left heartbroken after his wife ran off with another man  just 16 days after they married.

Andy Mitchell, 40, was stunned to find out she was having an affair less than a week after they tied the knot in a lavish £30,000 ceremony in Mexico.

Taxi service manager Andy put his wedding ring up for sale - and posted messages shared between partner Meaghan and her lover.

Andy, from Kelty, Fife, claimed the affair started on her hen night.

Meaghan, 21, today admitted she had left Andy for another man but insisted they had not slept together until after the wedding.

The couple married in Akumal Bay Beach Resort, Mexico, at a lavish wedding attended by friends and family.

Andy said he was more "shocked than hurt" when he found out.

We had no secrets. We trusted each other completely. I managed to get her phone off her and locked her outside, he said.

I read all the messages and took pictures. All her friends and family are embarrassed. They don't want anything to do with her.
