5 Students involved in car accident in Iskele, one seriously injured

A car carrying five university students crashed into a ditch along the Caiırova-Iskele highway on Tuesday leaving one person seriously injured.

According to report by Turkish Cypriot newspaper, Kibris, the vehicle with five university students in it, went out of the way and crashed into a ditch and then rolled over and tumbled in the process.

According to police report, the driver of the car, Abdullah Taşın'ın was driving in a careless manner when he lost control of the vehicle and tumbled into a ditch.

The five were trapped inside the vehicle until they were rescued by locals.

One of the occupants of the car, Burhan Okan Aktaş' was left in a terrible situation while other passengers in the vehicle, Sezer Özgül, 25, Aslı Aydıncı, 23, Emre Bir, 22 and Abdullah Taşın, 19 sustained slight injuries.
