Two students, male and female arrested for drug in Famagusta

Two students, a male and a female were last week Friday arrested by narcotics police for drug offenses in Famagusta.

According to report, the suspects identified as S.O.A, 28 (male) and Ş. B, 22 (female) a passenger in the vehicle were caught with about 35 grams of drug substance during a routine traffic control in Famagusta on Friday night.

Police say they found 5 packs of ready for sale drugs substance weighing 10 grams in the pocket of the male suspect and 25 grams of indian hemp which was hidden in his underwear.

Police said they found a drug weighing 1 gram of the same kind following a search at his apartment in Famagusta.

The two were taken into custody and taken to court on Saturday where they were ordered to remain in police custody for three days while investigation continues.
