Police man arrested in Famagusta for beating his wife

A police officer has been arrested in Famagusta for allegedly assaulting his wife with his hands and feet.

According to police report, the police officer was arrested on Sunday for seriously beating his wife with his hands and feet following a family dispute.

His young wife was allegedly wounded in the assault and was taken to the Gazimağusa State Hospital and then to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa after it was found that she had an injury in the brain.

The police officer was ordered by the court judge to remain in police custody for two days while investigation continues.

If a law enforcement officer can do this what does he expect from an ordinary citizen??
