Police discovers weed plants in Lefke cemetery, suspect arrested with a gun

Plants believed to be narcotics have been found cultivated in a cemetery in Lefke by narcotics police as suspect is arrested with a gun.

According to information released by the narcotics and smuggling prevention directorate teams, the unlawful plant were discovered on Thursday May, 17 at an area near the cemetery in Lefke.

The plants is believed to contain a total of 2933 root tincture-type narcotic.

One H.F, 49 was arrested in connection with the discovery, and in a search carried out at his residence and vehicle, a total of 14 live bullets, a pistol and drugs were found.

Investigation into the incident continues.
