Petition to punish Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos for ‘intentionally hurting’ Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah surges past 300,000 signatures

A PETITION for football’s governing bodies to “punish Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos for intentionally hurting Mohamed Salah” has passed 300,000 signatures.

One angry fan demands UEFA and FIFA take action against the Real Madrid skipper after his clash with the Liverpool forward forced Salah off in tears with injury after 30 minutes.

Salah says he is “confident” of playing in the World Cup for Egypt after X-rays revealed sprained shoulder ligaments.

Mohamed Salah Abdel-Hakeem on change.org wants the Spanish defender sanctioned not just for the Salah incident but accuses Ramos during the final of going against the “spirit of the game”.

His petition reads:

Sergio Ramos intentionally kept Mohamed Salah’s arm under his armpit, causing dislocation of his shoulder.
Not only missing the rest of the game, but also missing the FIFA World Cup 2018.

In addition he kept acting that Liverpool players fouled him falsely, causing the referee to give Manne (sic) a yellow card he did not deserve.
Sergio Ramos represents an awful example to future generations of football players. Instead of winning matches fairly, he uses tricks that defy the spirit of the game and fair play.
UEFA and FIFA should take measures against Ramos and similar players, using the video recordings of matches to keep the spirit of the game.

The campaign was launched on Saturday evening, moments after the final whistle in Kiev and by midday on Sunday over 100,000 had signed up to show their support.

Goals from Karim Benzema and a Gareth Bale double were enough for the La Liga giants to win their third successive Champions League title.
