Palestine students in Cyprus protest against violence in Gaza

The Palestine students community in Cyprus on Tuesday came together in various universities in the county to protest against the killings of Palestinians in Gaza on Monday just at the time the US embassy was being opened in Jerusalem. 

On Monday, Israel launched an attack on Palestinian civilians protesting against the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem, killing and injuring several people.

In separate events at the Cyprus International University CIU, Haspolat and the Eastern Mediterranean University, EMU, Famagusta, on Tuesday, Palestine students came out enmass to protest against the killings in Gaza.

Songs were sang and slogan chanted during the protests.

The universities also cancelled several of it's social and students activities in solidarity.
