Near East University set up committee consisting of high level management members to look into issues faced by its students after a meeting with NANS-TrZone president elect

Before now, students of the Near East university, NEU has voiced their displeasure through social media campaign and further filing a petition against the university for extorting it's students but it seems all these will soon be over as the university has agreed to find a lasting solution to their complains and setting a committee to look into the issues following a meeting with the president-elect of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, Turkish Zone on Friday.

According to a communique released by the president-elect of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, Turkish Zone, Comrade Zachariah Madaki on Friday, it said it has come to its notice that many Nigerian Students are passing through a lot of difficulties regarding their studies here in Turkish zone, particularly in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNC. 

And as a matter of urgency, the NANS-Turkish Zone President- Elect has swung into action to ensure that the General welfare of Nigerian students in the Zone is taking care of. 

Consequently, the President- Elect has gathered from different sources that there has been trending issues regarding the Academic and Welfare of Students in Near East University in which complaints has been made to NANS-Turkish Zone. 

The President Elect, comrade Zachariah in a closed door meeting on Friday May, 4, 2018 with the top management of the university that lasted for almost two hours discussed critical issues regarding the welfare, academic and social issues of students in the university which formed the major topic of deliberation. 

In response to this meeting, the management of the university with an immediate effect created a top level committee consisting of high level management members to look into the matter with urgency. 

Assurance has been given to students (of All Nationalities) that these complaints have been heard and a lasting solution to this complains will be made as soon as possible. 

For all students, regardless of Nationality that has been taking lectures but has not been registered for this semester and is willing to pay and continue the semester can report to NANS TR ZONE via 05338404911 to enable the new leadership helps them. 

The President elect will want to use this medium to thank all Nigerian Student for given him and the newly elected executives and opportunity to serve in this capacity and will also want to encourage all Nigerian Students to remain calm and law abiding, supportive and cooperative so as to achieve the goals of the Association.
