Mother and two young sons hit by a careless driver in Famagusta

A mother and her two young children, aged 4 and three months old who were walking on the side of a road in Famagusta on Wednesday has been injured after they were hit by a car that lost control.

The accident reportedly happened at about 9:30am on Wednesday morning before the bus terminal in Famagusta.

According to report the mother, Raşide Almas, 24, Erva Almas, 4 and her 3-month-old child Halit Asaf Almas, were walking on the Mustafa Kemal Boulevard road in front of the bus terminal on Wednesday morning when a car crashed into Erva.

The car driver, identified as Zahide Diðil, 40 reportedly lost control of the car hitting the family of three in the process.

She and her two young sons who survived the accident sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Famagusta State Hospital by in an ambulance for treatment.
