Greek and Turkish Cypriots to benefit from exploitation of island’s natural resources

Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties have agreed that a viable and a lasting solution of the Cyprus problem will enable all Cypriots to benefit from the exploitation of the natural resources in and around the island.

A joint communique, issued at the end of the regular meeting of leaders and representatives of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties at Ledra Palace in the buffer zone, said they expressed opinions on the issue proposed by the hosting party, the United Democrats on “energy and water in a reunified Cyprus-Hydrocarbons and Water two highly developmental Projects for the Cypriot People as a whole, and an effective facilitator for the successful implementation of a solution of the Cyprus problem”.

“All political parties agreed that a viable and lasting solution of the Cyprus problem will enable all Cypriots to benefit.
