Fire broke out in Dereboyu apartment while student was asleep

There was fear and panic in Lefkosa on Friday when fire broke out in an apartment building located at Dereboyu, while two students were sleeping.

According to report, the fire broke out on Friday afternoon in a flat located on the second floor of the building and is believed to have resulted from a cigarette butt.

It was learned that two male students were staying in the apartment, and one of the students was sleeping while the fire broke out.

The fire was put out following the intervention of the fire crew.

There was no injury or loss of life in the fire incident but the building and several properties were badly damaged by the fire
