Cyprus Weather Report: Cyprus set for hot a weekend

Cyprus is set to bask in a hot weekend with temperatures set to rise further on Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures rose to 36C in Lefkosa/ Nicosia on Thursday and a further rise is forecast from Friday.

During the weekend, it will remain as hot while it will be slightly cooler in coastal areas, reaching 29C.

At night, temperatures will drop to 16C to 18C depending on the area.

According to the Met office, the skies will be mostly clear though some high clouds can be observed on Friday evening.
