5 of 6 Nigerian youths are to be deported after serving jail terms for living and working in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus illegally.

According to report reaching us, 5 of the 6 Nigerians have been residing and working in the TRNC without a resident and work permit.

They were arrested at a cafeteria where they were working and taken to court last week.

The other 5 will be deported after serving their sentence.

They were found guilty of the crimes by the court judge.

According to the judge, the offenses are punishable by imprisonment of up to 6 months, emphasizing that all the defendants have no legal ties in the country.

The judge noted that the defendants who were unable to renew their stay due to financial difficulties and have been living in the country without legal status were unable to stay in the country and were sentenced to 5 days in prison.

Also a legal action was taken against the café-owner.
