3 Arrested with drugs in Girne

Three people were arrested in Girne and drugs seized from them in a drug operation by the TRNC narcotics team on Tuesday.

The suspects identified as Ş.K, 26, O.A, 28 and Y.Ö, 20 were arrested in their residence in Girne following a search carried out by police.

Police said substances believed to be drugs of about 118 ecstasy type pills were found in the search.

The suspects were arrested and the items believed to be drugs were confiscated and taken to the state Laboratory for investigation.

The suspects were brought to court on Wednesday and were ordered by the court to remain in police custody for two days.
