Vote Tijani Abdullateef for NANS TrZone President

Here comes yet another opportunity to elect our leaders. I, comrade Tijani Abdullateef is formally declaring and presenting myself as a prospective candidate to occupy the post of the president of the National Association of Nigerian Students Turkish Zone in the forth coming election scheduled for 28^th-04-18.

In response to my contributions to NANS as an active member, treasurer and a passionate Nigerian who has the people at heart, I have been persuaded by well-meaning comrades and interest groups to contest for this amiable office so as to represent the whole Nigerian community under the TR zone.

The challenges faced by Nigerians here are numerous. however, by the grace of the Almighty if elected as the president, I  and my team members would try to collaborate in order to deliver the following to the electorate:

• Securing a formal recognition and registration of NANS TR zone with TRNC government as a non-profit organization so as to stand upon a legal footing and to collaborate with NANS in other branches.

• To serve the Nigerian community here in North Cyprus by protecting their integrity and maintaining unity.

• To empower Nigerian youths through job procurement and entrepreneurship engagements.

• To train and equip youths to handle leadership posts in NANS and other career prospects in future.

• To establish transparency and accountability in exploring the dividend of democracy.

• To create awareness programs to foreigners regarding the potentials and rich cultural heritage of Nigeria.

• To explore our leadership skills to the fullest capacity to further develop our mental and political shrewdness.

• To synergize the disparities existing within Nigerians as a result of political class, religion, geographical affiliations, economic status and cultural differences.

• To ensure that every comrade expresses good and exemplary leadership quality worthy of emulation.

• To intellectually criticize and debate serious National issues and to issue communiqué when necessary.

• To promote academic excellence and intellectual brilliance by supporting individuals with prizes, grants, award recognition and scholarship opportunities ‘if available’.

• To source for continuous means of funding for sustaining monetary demands of NANS.

• To establish a blueprint/framework to serve as a guide for the members and future leaders of NANS.

• To encourage goodwill and brotherhood amongst members by alleviating the less privileged and supporting them domestically.

• To assist students and entrepreneurs with ‘soft loans’ when needed through the UIB banking facility if ‘available’.

• To encourage physical exercise by organizing unity tournaments amongst various institutions.

• In conclusion, I want to plead with all those who have the mandate to vote to choose wisely and support me accordingly so as to move this great association forward from where it is now to where it ought to be. Long live Nigeria……….
