Turkish Lira surges past 6TL against the Pounds and 4.19 against the USD
The Turkish Lira (TL), which is also used in north Cyprus has continued to depreciate against foreign currencies as the TL sold for 5.15 against the Euro, and 5.90 against the British Pounds Sterling in the interbank market on Wednesday.
The drop according to analysts comes after US President Donald Trump warned Russia that it should expect it's missile in Syria.
During morning hours on Wednesday, the TL reached a record low against the US Dollar when it went above 4.19 while the Euro and Pounds exceeded 5.19 and 5.93 respectively with the Pounds even exceeding 6 lira.
