Turkish Lira maintain some level of stability against foreign major currencies
The Turkish Lira has continued to maintain some level of stability against foreign currencies in the interbank market starting the day at 4.08 against the US Dollars, 4.96 against the Euros and between 5.59 and 5.69 against the British Pounds.
Despite the increase in the rate of liquidity interest rate of the Central Bank, the TL/USD has continued to maintain an exchange rate of around 4.08 which does not decrease.
The dollars to the TL on Wednesday went down to as low as 4.03 but couldn't hold as it went back up to 4.10 at the close of the day.
Meanwhile the Euro / TL is trading at about 4.96-4.97 and the £ / TL started at around 5.69 on Thursday.
The dollar in global markets is nearing the peak of three and a half months against major currencies due to rising US Treasury bond yields.
