Turkish Lira continues to decline

The Turkish Lira has once again fallen to record lows against the dollar and the euro as investors concerns are mounting over geopolitical tensions and an overheating economy.

At midday on Monday 9 April, the lira fell to 4.07 against the US dollar. 

The Turkish currency also rose to 5 against the Euro, which is another record low, around the same time before easing to 4.99. 

The lira also saw historic lows at 5.74 against the British pound.
